The role

Hands-on SEO across our four agency brands.

SkyBridge Creations builds websites and runs local marketing for small businesses and contractors across North and South Carolina. It is one of four agency brands run by one team: SkyBridge Creations, ByteZero, California Law Firm SEO and Law Firm Marketing Texas. Together we build websites and run SEO, AI-search visibility and Google Ads for small businesses and law firms in the US and Canada, and we rank our own websites the same way we rank clients.

This role is the hands-on SEO work behind those brands' websites, with US local search at the center of it: Google Business Profiles, citations and the map pack for service businesses in the Carolinas and beyond. It is manual, careful work: listings submitted by a person, pages fixed one at a time, every change logged. If you enjoy getting details exactly right and seeing a page climb in Search Console because of something you did, this is for you.

The job is fully remote, but you need to live in the Charlotte metro, on the North Carolina or South Carolina side, so you can meet a client or a teammate in person when that helps.

Local SEO and citations

  • Optimize and maintain Google Business Profiles: categories, services, service areas, hours, photos and posts
  • Track map pack and local rankings for the cities each business serves
  • Submit and maintain business listings by hand on US directories, review sites and industry listings
  • Keep name, address, phone and website identical across every listing
  • Track each submission, login owner and verification step in a shared sheet
  • Find and clean up duplicate, outdated or inconsistent listings

On-page SEO

  • Write and fix title tags, meta descriptions and heading structure
  • Map one primary keyword to each page and flag cannibalization
  • Add internal links, image alt text and FAQ content where it helps
  • Check structured data (LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage) with Google's tools

Technical SEO

  • Crawl sites with Screaming Frog or a similar crawler and report issues
  • Work Search Console: indexing, canonicals, redirects, sitemaps, robots.txt
  • Run Lighthouse / PageSpeed checks and log Core Web Vitals problems
  • Verify fixes after each deploy and record the result

Off-page SEO

  • Manual outreach for citations, local resource pages and unlinked mentions
  • Backlink audits: find spam and toxic links and prepare disavow files
  • Broken-link reclamation and relationship-based link earning
  • Weekly written log of work done and what moved in Search Console
Who we are looking for

What you bring.

Must have

  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on SEO work (agency experience is a plus)
  • Hands-on US local SEO: Google Business Profile management and map pack work
  • Working knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4
  • Experience with at least one crawler (Screaming Frog, Sitebulb or similar)
  • Real experience doing directory and citation submissions by hand
  • Clear written English for task notes and reports
  • A reliable computer and home internet for full-time remote work
  • Live in the Charlotte metro (North Carolina or South Carolina side)

Nice to have

  • Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz or BrightLocal
  • WordPress, and basic HTML for reading page source
  • Familiarity with AI search (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) and how sites get cited
  • Local SEO for law firms or home service businesses

This role is not for you if

  • You use bots, scripts or bulk tools to mass-submit listings or build links
  • You buy links, use PBNs or spin content
  • You are an agency, staffing firm, recruiter or company applying on someone's behalf
