The role

Google Ads for local service businesses.

SkyBridge Creations builds websites and runs local marketing for small businesses and contractors across North and South Carolina. It is one of four agency brands run by one team: SkyBridge Creations, ByteZero, California Law Firm SEO and Law Firm Marketing Texas. Together we build websites and run SEO, AI-search visibility and Google Ads for small businesses and law firms in the US and Canada, and we rank our own websites the same way we rank clients.

This role runs paid search for our clients: local service businesses such as trades and contractors, restaurants and event caterers, law firms and tourism operators in the Carolinas, California and Canada. Budgets are real small-business money, so every click needs a reason. You manage Search and Performance Max campaigns across our Google Ads manager account, keep conversion tracking honest, and explain the results to clients in plain English every week.

Most of the work is in Google Ads, with some Meta Ads alongside it. You work directly with the SEO and web team, so landing pages, tracking and campaigns get fixed together instead of being blamed on each other.

The job is fully remote, but you need to live in the Charlotte metro, on the North Carolina or South Carolina side, so you can meet a client or a teammate in person when that helps.

Campaign management

  • Build and manage Search and Performance Max campaigns for local service businesses
  • Write responsive search ads and keep Performance Max asset groups complete and on-brand
  • Set geo targeting correctly: presence, not interest, for businesses that only serve their own area
  • Manage bids and bid strategies against each client's cost-per-lead target

Search terms and waste

  • Audit search terms every week and add negative keywords
  • Block wrong-city, job-seeker and do-it-yourself traffic before it eats the budget
  • Check locations, devices and ad schedules for spend that never converts
  • Keep shared negative keyword lists tidy across accounts

Conversion tracking

  • Set up and check conversions in GA4 and Google Ads, including enhanced conversions
  • Track calls, form fills and bookings as separate, clearly named conversions
  • Catch broken tracking fast when conversions drop or spike for no reason
  • Work with the web team on tags, events and landing page fixes

Budgets and reporting

  • Pace budgets across every account in our manager account (MCC) so no client overspends or underspends
  • Write a short weekly report for each client: spend, leads, cost per lead and what changed
  • Run Meta Ads campaigns alongside Google Ads for the clients who need them
  • Recommend where the next dollar should go, with the numbers behind it
Who we are looking for

What you bring.

Must have

  • 3 to 6 years of hands-on Google Ads management (agency experience is a plus)
  • Search and Performance Max campaigns you managed yourself, with results you can explain
  • Conversion tracking with GA4, Google Tag Manager and enhanced conversions
  • Search-term audits, negative keywords and geo targeting for local businesses
  • Comfortable pacing budgets across many accounts at once
  • Clear written English for weekly client reports
  • A reliable computer and home internet for full-time remote work
  • Live in the Charlotte metro (North Carolina or South Carolina side)

Nice to have

  • Google Ads certifications
  • Meta Ads Manager
  • Looker Studio reporting
  • Google Ads scripts or the Google Ads API
  • Ads for law firms, home services, restaurants or tourism
